Emantee, runner-up in last year’s Hambletonian Oaks, captured a qualifying race at Emantee, now owned by trainer Tommy B. Andersson, who drove the Banker Hall 4 year old, trotted a final panel in :29.3 as she scored by 8 3/4 lengths. It was Emantee’s second qualifier of the year after finishing second to Corleone Kosmos at Pompano on April 6. Elegant Man also went wire to wire, coming home in :28.4 to defeat Make You Mine by one-half length. Bruce Ranger was in the bike as the 8-year-old Malabar Man stallion hit the track for the first time since a third-place finish in a Classic Series leg at Dover Downs Nov. 6.
