Qualifying action at Meadowlands

The top older trotters Arch Madness, Enough Talk and Classic Lane tuned up for the 2010 season with qualifying wins at the Meadowlands Thursday morning. Arch Madness was put on the point by trainer Trond Smedshammer and won in 1:55 over Enough Talk. The mare Classic Lane won by a whopping 11 3/4 lengths in 1:56.2 (last quarter :27.3), with Tim Tetrick driving for trainer Ed Lohmeyer.
 
Also, the 4-year-old pacers Nob Hill High and River Shark finished on the wire together, with Nob Hill High, driven by Andy Miller, breaking the beam in 1:51.3 (:27.2 last quarter). Bruce Saunders trains Nob Hill High while Mark Ford conditions River Shark.
