Nanticoke Racing and Jim Morand's Quick Thinker ($3.20, Morand) won his second straight race in decisive fashion Thursday at Harrington Raceway with a 1:54.2 triumph.
Trained by Les Givens, the Glowing Tribute 3-year-old colt has won his last two races handily, including a 1:53.2 impressive score on May 1. He is staked to the Maryland Sire Stakes events and is an early season standout.
Post eight is normally viewed as a handicap on a half-mile track, but three winners came from the outside post Thursday. One particular, Smooth Louie N ($143.60) produced a trifecta payout of more than $11,000. The 10 cent superfecta paid nearly $1,400. (Harrington Raceway)
