Quik Pulse returns

Return Home
March 17, 2005 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Quik Pulse Mindale, 2004's fastest 3-year-old pacer with a 1:48 victory at Balmoral Park, a time that equaled the world record for his division, makes his first start of the year Saturday night in a $20,750 Free-For-All Pace at Balmoral Park.

Tony Morgan will drive the 4-year-old son of Jenna's Beach Boy for trainer Mike Arnold and owner Lloyd Arnold. Last year Quik Pulse Mindale won 12 times in 19 starts, earning more than $700,000. He has qualified twice this year, finishing second and then winning on March 9 in 1:56.1 by open lengths.

Quik Pulse Mindale will take on strong competition that includes world record holder Color Me Best, whose 1:48 win in 1999 still stands as standard for 4-year-old pacing geldings. The now 10 year old, who comes off a 1:50.4 win in last week's Free For Fall, sports career earnings of more than $1.4 million for David Yohe and Wilson Racing Stables. Tim Tetrick has been named to drive.

Runding out the field for Saturday's Free For All are Odds On Dana, Pulse, Go Warrior Go, Constant Change, Big Sham and Foxy Maneuver
