Racing Naked won the $15,000 feature pace and Order By Lincoln took the $24,500 feature trot at Dover Downs on Saturday, and Tony Morgan and Corey Callahan had driving triples. Corey Callahan uncorked Racing Naked entering the stretch and the Misfit--L Dees Precious 9-year-old surged into the lead, holding off the fast-charging Shinydes A (Sean Bier) for a 1:52.4 victory in a $15,000 pace. Mattjestic Art (Frank Milby) closed along the passing lane to finish third. Order By Lincoln proved his caliber by notching a 1:56.4 victory in a $14,000 4- and 5-year-old trot. Kevin Sizer was at the controls as the Conway Hall--Softly Dream 4-year-old held off an assault from the runner-up, The Shepherd (Ross Wolfenden), from the backstretch, where they raced head-to-head until entering the stretch, where a :29 panel secured the decision for Order By Lincoln, an easy second triumph in three 2009 starts. Enessee Ernie (Vic Kirby) took show position. For the second straight week, Early Shirley took the lead uncontested and was an easy, 1:57.2 winner in a $10,000 trot. Clifton Green again piloted the Taladega--Paige Thirty Two mare owned by Chris Yochim and Daryl Glazer to victory. DC's Piggy Bank (Art Stafford, Jr.) came in second and Good Feeling (Corey Callahan) was third. Tim Curtin found room in the stretch to drive Battersby N through on the way to a 1:53 score in a $16,100 claiming allowance. Owned by Ron Davis, the Holmes Hanover--Laura Rose gelding bested Architect (Jon Roberts) and Armbro Domi (Tony Morgan), who finished second and third, respectively. The victory was the first of two for Curtin. Tony Morgan and Corey Callahan, currently first and second in the Dover Downs driver standings, and first and fifth in wins during 2009, each added three wins. (Dover)
