Harness driver Bruce Ranger and trainer Mike Deters teamed up to score three winners Saturday night at the Isle Pompano Park including a victory in the $12,000 feature pace with I’m In Luck in 1:53.1.

The Ranger-Deters show began in the very first race with Fox Valley Michael ($2.80) posting his third straight win in a $7,000 pace in 1:55. Owned by the Fishman Stables of Tavernier, it was the fourth win this year for Fox Valley Michael, a nine-year-old gelding by Sportsmaster.

Then in the third race, I’m In Luck ($3.80) really did not need any luck and despite racing over a sloppy track the seven-year-old gelding by Camluck led from start to finish, winning with ease by one and one-half lengths over Flight Of Glory (Andy Santaramo) and Murcielago (Wally Hennessey).

It was the sixth win this year for I’m In Luck. The Pine Vue Stables of Saranac Lake, NY own I’m In Luck.

Ignite My Fire ($3.80) was the narrowest of victories for Ranger and Deters in the $6,500 5th race pace. After taking the lead away from Hearty Fellow (Walter Ross, Jr,) after the opening quarter mile, Ranger and Ignite My Fire led the field the rest of the one mile race and just held off Hearty Fellow at the finish to win by a neck in 1:53.4. Hero (Dan Clements) was third.

Also owned by the Pine Vue Stable, it was the second straight win for Ignite My Fire, an eight-year-old gelding by Real Artist.

Bruce Ranger continued his winning ways Saturday as he won five races on the card, including the 8th race $5,200 pace with Dontpassdamustard ($7.40) in 1:55.1. It was the fourth straight win for the six-year-old gelding. (Pompano)
