The driver-trainer team of Bruce Ranger and Tom Beckette of the Ranger Stable were hot Saturday night at Pompano Park, winning three times on the program, including the $10,000 Open Handicap Pace with Eleven AM.

The evening started off with Ginnie’s Best ($2.60) leading from start to finish by 2 1/2 lengths for his fourth straight win with a 1:52.4 clocking in the third race $7,500 pace. Golden Mattjesty (David Ingraham) was second with VP Power (Wally Hennessey) third.

It was the 14th victory of the year for Ginnie’s Best, a 7-year-old stallion by Cambest who is owned by the Thunder And Lightning Stable and Michael Kabnick of Florida.

Then in the $5,800 fourth race pace, it took the photo finish camera to declare pacesetter Graebuck ($4.80) and Ranger a neck winner over Josh The Prince (Anthony Napolitano) in 1:53.3. Doc’s Best (Hennessey) was third. Mike and Arthur Biel of Tamarac own Graebuck, an 8-year-old gelding by Hicaliber Hanover.

The Ranger/Beckette show continued in the ninth race $10,000 Open Handicap Pace with another wire-to-wire winner with Eleven AM ($4.00) scoring by 1 3/4 lengths in 1:52 over Star Role (Stephen Lareau) and Broadway Jate (Kevin Wallis).

A 4-year-old stallion by Falcon Seelster, Eleven AM posted his 10th victory of the year for the Berry Stable of Staten Island, NY. (Pompano Park)
