Real Girl won the first of three$20,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes divisions for 2-year-old filly pacers Friday night at The Red Mile, scoring in a career-best 1:53.4 for driver David Miller. The daughter of Real Desire won for the second time in three starts, the other winner's circle trip coming in a Molly Pitcher division at Freehold Aug. 19.

Finishing second was Cantor's Daughter (Brendan Johnson) with I'm Good To Go (Mickey McNichol) third.

Trained by Mark Harder, the winning Real Girl was a $10,000 yearling purchase of TLP Stable, Thomas Lamera and Joseph and Angela Loconte.

Capturing the second KYSS split was Clydes First Cam and trainer-driver Roger Cullipher, who held off Forever Shown Off (Charlie Conrad) and Go Ginny Go (Jeff Cullipher) in 1:54.4. The time was a career-best for the daughter of Cambest. Cullipher shares ownership with Senia Lawson.

The third KYSS division went to Trinity Islands, who paced a final quarter of :26.1 after popping out of the two hole at the top of the stretch for driver Mickey McNichol to win in 1:55.4. Pacesetting My Fave Wave (Marcus Johansson) was two lengths behind in second with Merlene (Dan Shetler) third.

A daughter of Jenna's Beach Boy, Trinity Islands is trained by Steve Elliott for owner Cuzzins Stable.

Also winning on the card was Little Miss Dragon, who notched a 1:53.4 mark in her career debut in a $4,000 leg of the Kentuckiana Farms Late-Closer. Trained by Noel Daley and driven by Brendan Johnson, Little Miss Dragon was a $67,000 yearling purchase of Adam Victor & Son Stable. The daughter of The Panderosa is a half sister to 2006 Cane Pace starter Artstanding p,2, 1:52.2 ($517,336)

The last race on the card was marred by an accident in the far turn. Drivers Glenn Berger and Michael Neafus appeared to have both been slightly injured, according to Red Mile presiding judge Marc Guilfoil.
