Red Mile barn quarantined after Strangles positive

Return Home
August 26, 2010 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Barn 11 at The Red Mile has been placed under quarantine after a horse in horseman Jimmy Stiltner's barn tested positive for Strangles. The barn also houses horses trained by Dane May, but as of now only the one horse, who has since been shipped off the grounds in Lexington, has come up positive.

Three horses trained by Stiltner who were in to go on the Thursday night card at The Red Mile have been scratched. Those horses are: the 7-year-old gelding pacer Eden Runner, the 8-year-old gelding pacer Realiscape, and the 5-year-old gelding pacer Fox Valley Lingo. None of May's horses were programmed for Thursday night.
