Although construction in Lexington, KY has slowed to a crawl, just like in most parts of the country, The Red Mile unveiled plans on Thursday night to develop 68 acres of the track's property. The Red Mile Village Development Plan was presented to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Planning Commission at its work session on Thursday.
A report in the Lexington Herald-Leader said ideas are still in the conceptual stage, and a committee of local businesses and city leaders has been appointed to study the plan, which calls for developing about 68 of the 132 acres of property. That much property would appear to include at least part of the track's stable area.
