The second oldest harness racing track in the country, The Red Mile, is set to kick off its 133rd season of racing on Sunday, July 27, and racing will be held Sunday, Monday and Thursday evenings.

Racing will be conducted through September 18, with a first post of 6:30 p.m. each night. The eight-week Summer/Fall meeting will be highlighted on Sunday, Aug. 31, when the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Finals will be raced for each division. Purses for the Kentucky-sired evening of champions will be in excess of $2.4 million.

The ten day Grand Circuit portion of the meet is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 23, and will conclude on Saturday, October 4, with racing held on Tuesday through Saturday of both weeks.  Post time will be 12:30 p.m. each afternoon.  The third leg of the Trotting Triple Crown, The Kentucky Futurity ($700,000 est.), will be renewed for the 116th time on the closing day card Saturday, Oct. 4.(Red Mile)
