Pennsylvania Sire Stakes champion 3-year-old filly trotter Hidden Viggorish cruised to a 1:54.3 victory in an $11,500 late-closing event Tuesday at the Red Mile. With Brian Zendt driving, Hidden Viggorish took the lead coming out of the first turn and led the rest of the route to post her ninth win in 11 starts as she heads to a possible supplemental start in the Kentucky Filly Futurity Friday, Oct. 6. Godess Of Chaos parlayed a two-hole trip into a second-place finish for John Campbell.

A daughter of SJ's Caviar, Hidden Viggorish is trained by Bill Zendt for owner Harmony Spring Stable. She now has career earnings of $126,803, bolstered substantially by her $50,000 winner's check from the Sire Stakes final at The Meadows earlier this month. She trotted her career best of 1:53.1 in that victory.

Katie's Red Rose, a 2-year-old trotting filly by Chip Chip Hooray, won the first race Tuesday at The Red Mile, a $13,500 late-closing event which started off the 10-card Grand Circuit stand at the historic clay oval in Lexington.

Driver Aaron Merriman sent Katie's Red Rose up first-over against 37-1 longshot Duolotta and driver Trond Smedshammer past the half. Until that point Duolotta had her own way after leaving from the outside post, but from the final turn she had Katie's Red Rose alongside. In the final strides Katie's Red Rose edged past her game rival to win in a career-best 1:59.1.

Mark Deaton trains the winner for owners Gates Mills Stable and Richard Paltani. The win was her fourth in nine career starts, increasing her earnings to $22,210.
