Regal 8-5 in Prov. Cup

Stonebridge Regal has been installed the 8-5 morning-line choice for Sunday night's $260,000(C) Provincial Cup final at Windsor Raceway. Driven by Jack Moiseyev for trainer Bob McIntosh and partners Robert Kauffman, Angie Stiller and Skip and Wendy Springs' W. Springtime Stable, the sophomore son of Artsplace will leave from post seven.



American Ideal, the fastest of three Provincial Cup elimination winners last week with a 1:51.2 clocking, has drawn the rail in the final. The sophomore son of Western Ideal will be driven bt Mark MacDonald.



American Ideal's elim effort was just one-fifth of a second off Gehrig's all-time stakes mark. Trained by Casie Coleman for owners Mac Nichol and Brittany Farms, American Ideal has been made the 2-1 second choice.



Leading X Ample, who also captured his elim, will leave from post eight for driver Randy Waples, trainer William Elliott and R. Peter Heffering's Leading X Ample Stable.
