Revenue wows in Allerage

Swedish trotting star Revenue captured Saturday afternoon's $208,000 Allerage Farms Series final at The Red Mile in what has to be considered one of the most exciting races of the year in North America.



With John Campbell driving, Revenue took the early lead and was able to maintain that position despite wild and furious action taking place behind. Horses stacked up three and four wide around the final turn as Revenue began to draw off trom the field. Opening up a clear margin down the stretch to thunderous applause from the large crowd gathered, Revenue trotted to a national season's best 1:51.3 victory.



Mr. Muscleman, who was caught three wide and blindswitched horses even wider, shook loose in the stretch to finish a clear second. Mutineer was third for David Miller.



Hall of Famer Campbell.was in the bike for the first time, subbing for trainer Lutfi Kolgjini who remained in Sweden due to family obligations.
