Riddlemethat, overlooked at 9-1, went right to the front and never looked back to score a 1:53.3 victory to win the $25,000 Mares Open pace at Dover Downs on Tuesday. Tony Morgan and Tim Tetrick had driving triples while Jim Morand and Eddie Davis Jr. tallied doubles.

Driver Morand put the Ball And Chain 5 year old into the lead at the start and cut out all the fractions while recording her third consecutive victory and third in her last four starts for owner-trainer Nick Callahan. The win was the 11th of the year for Riddlemethat, a mare who has worked her way up through the ranks this season to enjoy her finest campaign.

Shake Away, in her first start since being injured early in the season, raced from off the pace and shot up the passing lane to edge Yada Yada Yada A (Ross Wolfenden) for place honors.

On the undercard, Morgan picked up his first win of the night piloting Apache Dame to a 1:52.3 victory in one of two $18,500 mares winners-over paces. It was trainer Tim Crissman's fourth win of the new season. Paul McDouglall and WJ McDougall Racing own the Apaches Fame 5 year old, a winner of two of her last three starts. Calling Card (Brad Hanners) sat second the mile. Seamstresforthepan (Davis) was third.

In the other co-feature, Poppy Lustre N, owned by Wayne Pryor and Wendy Crissman, overcame starting from post eight and the 7-1 shot driven by Tetrick scored a 1:54.1 win. River Valley Belle (Steve Warrington) took second money in front of Fritzie Bunnie (Mike Cole). (Dover Downs)
