January 17, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

I'm All In took the lead at the start for driver Ron Pierce and set all the fractions in a 1:53.1 mile to win the $24,000 Mares Open Pace Tuesday at Dover Downs, while Riddlemethat won the $20,000 Jr. Mares Open. Pierce finished the day with five winners; Tim Tetrick had three.

Stepping up from a similar win last week in the Mares Jr. Open, I'm All In continued her perfect start in 2007 by turning back seven rivals in a wire-to-wire triumph in the week's top distaff event. Pierce chalked up his third win of the night holding off Shake Away and Jim King who stalked the winner from the start. Poppy Lustre N closed strongly for Tetrick to finish third.

I'm All In, a Cam's Card Shark 5 year old, has won Tom Vine and Crystal Ball Stable $29,750 already this year.

In the $20,000 Mares Jr. Open, Corey Callahan, driving Riddlemethat, was locked in fifth turning for home when Jim Morand pulled Binions out of second to challenge front-pacing Eddie Davis and GE's Jen at the top of the stretch. Down the lane Riddlemethat closed along the passing lane to beat Binions to the finish line in 1:55 to win the secondary feature. Pacific Illusion closed well for Ross Wolfenden to take third money.

Cissy Crissman's homebred daughter of Cams Fortune, CC's Can'tcatchme with Tony Morgan at the controls, came on fast to score a 1:53.3 win in a $15,500 mares pace overtaking Fritzie Bunnie (Tetrick) in deep stretch. Seamstresforthepan (Davis) was the third-place finisher.

Meet leading driver Tetrick piloted Cavalli Pazzi Stables' Casino Bus to a 1:53.4 winning trip in a $15,000 mares pace. Flirtwithedealer (Morgan) and Cat Power (Morand) finished in a dead heat for second. (Dover Downs)
