Reinsman Jonathan Roberts earned seven wins from the 10 races in which he competed at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday evening. Roberts is currently the second leading driver in the Rosecroft standings with an average of .350 to date.

In the first race, Roberts brought Ramses Two ($3.60) to the winner’s circle with a first-over journey in 1:59. The veteran 12-year-old Abercrombie pacing gelding, a winner of nearly $700,000 lifetime, has had a very successful seasonal campaign. Ramses Two now shows a line of 8-4-4 across the board from 31 starts this year for owner-trainer Steve Xanthos of Maryland.

Roberts won the second half of the daily double with Philadelphiafreedm ($3.20). The betting favorite led the second race field of pacers through well-rated quarters of :29, :58.4 and 1:28.1. The freshman Sharky Spur gelding came home with a :30.4 final fraction to win easily in 1:59. Greg Trotto trains Philadelphiafreedm for lessees VIP Internet Stable LLC of N.J.

Art’s Pretty Lady ($5), owned and trained by Xanthos, was a confident winner in the fourth race. Roberts tipped the 3-year-old Arturo filly out first-over to win by over a length at the wire. Art’s Pretty Lady set a new lifetime mark, pacing in 1:57.

In the seventh race, a trot, Roberts sent Play Time ($12.80) directly to the front of the field and refused to back down, winning in 1:58.2. The 5-year-old Donerail gelding, a trainee of Roger Hans, earned his eighth win of the season. Play Time races for owner Tom Cooke of Maryland.

Roberts continued his winning ways through the next three races. Cams First Day ($7.60) was the best of the bunch in race eight. Leased by Marvin Callahan of Maryland, the 7-year-old Camluck gelding paced wire to wire in 1:56.1 to earn his seventh victory of the season. Alvin Callahan trains Cams First Day.

Paradusho N ($10), somewhat overlooked at the betting windows, was by far the best in the ninth race. Roberts pulled out first-over to win by less than a length in his final win of the night with Missyoulin, a pacer trained by co-owner George Bartlett, who now has 12 seasonal wins. Alvin Mindel of Virginia owns the mare with Bartlett. (Rosecroft)
