A reported "situation" at Western Fair Raceway in London, Ontario Monday night resulted in workers for trainer Bill Robinson being denied entry to the racetrack and the scratching of two Robinson-trained horses from the race card. According to published reports, Ontario Racing Commission executive John Blakney acknowledged that the commission's investigative unit was involved and told Western Fair officials to scratch the horses.

"Our investigators reported to me that we had a situation and it is under investigation," Blakney told the Toronto Sun. "The judge and the investigative unit decided to scratch the horses."

Reportedly, two police cars were waiting at the track's stable gate and told the Robinson staff members they were being denied access to the grounds. The report also stated one worker sat in the stewards' office through most of the night.
