Trainer Bill Robinson has received a $1,000 fine from the Ontario Racing Commission for failing to ensure the integrity of an employee, Patrick Fletcher, who has received a two-month suspension from July 1 through Aug. 28 for an incident last March at Western Fair Raceway. A trailer bringing two Robinson-trained horses to race that night was stopped at the stable gate and a search reportedly revealed a vial, powder substance and syringes inside the trailer. Fletcher was found to be in possession of those items, although it has never been revealed what the substance was.
