Rockincam was moved to the lead at the opening quarter by driver Jim Morrill Jr. and then never looked back as he sped to a national season's best 1:50 victory in the $40,200 Winbak Pace at the Delaware, Ohio fairgrounds.
Morrill left from post one with Rockincam as Valentino and Something For Doc settled in one-two. But Morrill quickly moved his charge at the :27.4 opening quarter. Rockincam reached the half in :55.3 and three-quarters in 1:23 before closing out the mile in :27, pacing his final half in :54.2.
Rockincam had plenty of lengths to spare under the wire, with Something For Doc second and Nob Hill high third.
A 5-year-old son of Cambest, Rockincam is trained by Nifty Norman and owned by Stephen Farrell. The win was his sixth in 16 starts this year and 21st overall in 44 attempts.
