Rock N Roll Heaven, a colt from the first crop by Rocknroll Hanover out of Artistic Vision, powered his way to the top entering the stretch and drove off to win a 1:59.3 qualifier at Scioto Downs on Saturday.

It was the first start for the colt. Artistic Vision p, 4, 1:50.2 earned $634,808. The colt is owned and trained by Roy O'hagen of Florida and won for driver David Myers. His margin of victory was 2-1/2 lengths.

In the previous race, Sand Savage became the first 2:00 juvenile of 2009 when he held off Cambest Kisser by three-quarters of a length. Driver Jason Moore sent him to the front at the start of the race and led all the way. Jim Arledge trains for owner Bill Sanders. The winner is by Allamerican Native out of Sheer Hose p, 3, 1:54.4Q ($11,491) by Artsplace.

The freshman trotter Medowland Jesse (Jailhouse Jesse) won in 2:09 after using a 29-second third panel to discourage his pursuers. His margin was a neck for driver Tyler Rush.

Best Of Ball, an Ohio champion last year, scored in the fastest qualifier of the day when she clocked a 1:56.3 mile for trainer-driver Jim Dailey. (Scioto Downs)
