Rocknroll Hanover eked out a nose win over Jo Pa's Shark in 1:50.4 in a New Jersey Sire Stakes division at the Meadowlands Saturday night while a second division was won by Village Jolt in 1:51.2.

Both Rocknoll Hanover and Village Jolt--the top two rated colts in pre-season polls--were making their first starts of the season. Rocknroll Hanover was raced off the pace and then edged Jo Pa's Shark just before the wire. Jo Pa's Shark was making his first start for trainer Jim Campbell, moving from the Mark Harder Stable.

Village Jolt, last year's Dan Patch 2-Year-Old Pacing Colt honoree, started from post six and won over South Park Hanover.
