Both Dixie Pride (1:52.2) and Pleasing Artist (1:52) captured their separate divisions of the winners over pace at Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday evening, showing impressive speed and talent for their connections.

In the first division worth $10,200, Dixie Pride [$5.80, $3.60, $2.60] left the gate from post position four with trainer Joe Offutt in the sulky and chose to sit along the pylons through the early fractions of the race. Gulf and Western (Corey Callahan) cut early fractions of :28.0, :56.1 and 1:23.4 before tiring in the stretch for third. Nearing the three-quarter pole, Offutt pulled out to come second-over behind Dragon Island (John Wagner). Dixie Pride turned on the speed to swing three wide for the win by a neck. The sharp 5-year-old Real Artist stallion earned his fourth win of the year for owners Joe Offutt and George Aide.

In the second division worth $11,300, Pleasing Artist [$17.00, $8.00, $2.40] scored the perfect trip for driver John Wagner along the rail. The 5-year-old Real Artist gelding rallied with a first-over bid nearing the three-quarter pole to win by a length. Trained by Manley Brown Jr. and owned by Heather Ronay, Pleasing Artist beat favorite Cool Flying Fun (Nick Callahan) through quarters of :26.2, :55.0 and 1:22.4.
