Miss Galvinator A and Burning Point came up winners in the two $50,000(C) Roses Are Red eliminations for older mare pacers Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack. Miss Galvinator A scored in 1:51, lighting up the tote board at odds of 81-1. Burning Point rewarded his faithful at odds of 6-5 with a 1:50.4 victory.

A 7-year-old daughter of Fake Left, Miss Galvinator A, trained by Ettore Annunziata for owner Richard Annunziata, paid $164.10 for the win. Driver Luc Ouellette worked out a two-hole trip behind Digga Digga and driver Randy Waples, who cut the fractions in :27.3, :55.2 and 1:22.4. After finding room to pop out in the lane, Ouellette and Miss Galvinator A fended off a wall of horses to notch a neck victory over Born Storyteller.

Marnie Hall finished third, with KG Katriona and Illusionist fourth and fifth, respectively, to earn a spot in next Saturday’s $387,250(C) final

Burning Point and driver Ron Pierce headed to the front after the opening :25.4 quarter and led the rest of the way, holding off runner-up Invitro and driver Paul MacDonell by 1 ¾ lengths. Valley Electric was third, followed by Four Starzzz Ittt and Gifted Seelster.

A 6-year-old daughter of Camluck, Burning Point is owned by Cuzzins Stable and trained by Steve Elliott. The win was her 40th of her career.

The connections of both elim winners made their post position picks prior to the open draw, and Burning Point will start from the three hole with Miss Galvinator A leaving from the inside post one. Here is the complete draw for the final:

1 - Miss Galvinator A
2 - Valley Electric
3 - Burning Point
4 - Born Storyteller
5 - Gifted Seelster
6 - Marnie Hall
7 - Invitro
8 - Four Starzzzz Ittt
