With 12 free for all mares going for $250,000 in the Lady Liberty Final at the Meadowlands, horses were coming from everywhere at the top of the stretch. But coming up the inside, after leaving from the second tier in post 11, Life of Luxury N and Eric Goodell pulled the upset, going off at 21-1, to win in Darlin’s Delight and Yannick Gingras made it to the front to lead the full field to a :27.2 opening quarter and lead at just about every call. Mind Boggling (David Miller) got the perfect two hole trip, with stablemate Life of Luxury N sitting in just behind her. Born Storyteller (Cat Manzi) got parked first over, providing cover for Moving Pictures (Mark McDonald) who pulled three wide after the :56.3 half but could not clear. At the three-quarters, Southwind Tempo and John Campbell put in their bid and pulled four wide, with Tidewaterdragonfly (Tim Tetrick) following that cover. Darlin’s Delight was still leading the field at the top of the stretch but got sandwiched between the Ross Croghan entry. Life of Luxury N went up the inside, posting a :26.1 last quarter, to best Darlin’s Delight by a half-length, while Mind Boggling went to the outside to finish a length behind the pace-setter. Southwind Tempo got up for fourth with Tidewaterdragonfly finishing fifth. Life of Luxury N is a seven-year-old by Live or Die out of the Sokys Atom mare Lavish Franco. She is owned by Let It Ride Stables Inc, Robert Cooper Stables LLC and Lewis Krongold and now has over $212,000 in
