Run The Table accepts HOF

August 25, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Millionaire pacer Run The Table, who went on to sire the winners of more than $80 million, was inducted into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame Thursday night and was on hand to accept the honor. A conversation between Hanover Shoe Farms’ Murray Brown and Jack McNiven of Run The Table’s home, Killean Acres, led to the 22-year-old horse joining in the festivities at the Mississauga Convention Center.

Run The Table even greeted all the attendees and posed for pictures as he stood in a portable stall in front of the building. When he was led through the hall to the podium—yes, he was brought into the hall—he was met with loud applause. There was no word on his acceptance speech.
