Ryan Anderson out six months

Return Home
December 28, 2007 Send To A Friend  | Print View

Ryan Anderson, who was injured in a nasty spill in last Sunday’s first race at Balmoral Park, is expected to be out of action for up to six months after suffering a broken femur as well as cuts and bruises.

The 27-year-old reinsman, who was second in the Balmoral Park driver standings, underwent more than four hours of surgery at Olympia Fields Medical Center on Dec. 24 to repair the broken femur suffered in the accident.

A steel rod was inserted in Anderson’s leg from the hip to the knee area during the surgery and doctors expect Anderson, who was back at his home just two days after the accident, to make a full recovery. (Balmoral Park)
