Salvi new PPK race sec.

Nick Salvi, most recently the race secretary at The Red Mile and current executive director of the Classic Series, has been hired as race secretary at Pompano Park.



Salvi was the racing secretary at The Red Mile from 2001 to 2005 and has been the executive director of the Classic Series that is run by the Hambletonian Society since 2000. He was also the television commentator at The Meadows from 1999 to 2001.



As a harness racing driver Salvi had 276 victories with earnings of more than $1 million with the horses he drove. He recently regained his amateur driving status and has competed a few times in C.K.G. BIllings events.



"Nick brings a wealth of experience in harness racing to the job.� said Pompano Park general manager Dick Feinberg. “His work as racing secretary at The Red Mile and his directorship of the Classic Series have served him well, and I am confident he will do a great job here at Pompano Park, where he raced and trained for many years.�



John Yinger, who had served as interim Racing Secretary, will retain his duties as program department manager, and will assist Salvi in the transition.
