Sanford "Sandy" Farber, owner of Run The Table and mayor of Palisades Park, N. J., died Sunday, Oct. 24. He was 73.

Mr. Farber was a basketball star at the University of Miami, served in Army intelligence, and produced several Broadway shows, including the hit "Little Mary Sunshine."

Mr. Farber won a special election for mayor of Palisades Park in 1996. His current term would have expired on Dec. 31, 2006.

Mr. Farber's most successful Standardbred was Run The Table, of whom he was the majority owner through his Dalona Stable. After a successful racing career during which he earned $1.1 million, the son of Landslide became one of Ontario's top stallions.
