Trainer/driver Ray Schnittker took both C$23,000 Valley Victory eliminations Saturday at Woodbine.  Deweycheatumnhowe took the first elimination under wraps in 1:56.4, and Make It Happen won the second elimination in 1:58.2.

The 55-1 longshot Celebrity Secret (Trevor Ritchie) set a soft :29.1 first quarter, after which Schnittker pulled Deweycheatumnhowe to a :59 half.  Never lifting the whip off his shoulder Schnittker sat calmly and won easily by a length and a quarter in 1:56.4.  Celebrity Secret finished second, Over Ruled (Mike Lachance) was third and Stand Guard (Mark MacDonald) got up for fourth.

Ray Schnittker, Ted Gewertz and Charles Iannazzo and the Deweycheatumnhowe Stable own the two-year-old Muscles Yankee colt who has been on a roll, winning all seven of his lifetime starts.

It looked like their wasn’t going to be enough track for Schnittker to take the second elimination but when race leader Intimidator made a break just before finish, it was Make It Happen on the lead.

Sitting near the back of the back at every fraction, Make It Happen was still seventh at the three quarter pole, second over behind Intimidator (Rick Zeron).  The field bunched up coming down the stretch and being on the far outside, Make It Happen was not in traffic trouble when Indimidator went off stride.

Mr Mission (Jody Jamieson) got up for second with Deliberate (Mike Lachance) finishing third and Intimidator holding on for fourth.

Make It Happen is owned by the Eat My Dust Stable, Daisy Acres, Howard Taylor and Jack Adkins.  Now with three wins in 10 lifetime starts, Make It Happen is nearing $100,000 in lifetime earnings.  The elimination win time, 1:58.2, is a new lifetime mark.
