Driver Brian Sears swept both $16,000 divisions of the Night Styles Series for fillies and mares four years of age or younger Thursday night at the Meadowlands, winning the first split with heavily-favored Symphony In Motion and then the second with 4-1 Sail Away.

Sears got away fifth with the 3-5 favorite Symphony In Motion after leaving from post eight, but then brushed to the lead at the half where the 4-year-old daughter of Bettor's Delight drew clear with a final quarter of :26.4 to win in 1:52.1. Ridge Rumper, a 37-1 longshot driven by Yannick Gingras, finished 3 1/2 lengths back in second with Marietta Hall and driver George Brennan third.

The win was the fourth straight for Symphony In Motion and equaled her career mark set in a conditioned pace at the Big M on Feb. 15. She won her opening-round division of the Night Styles Feb. 21 in 1:52.2 as the 1-9 bettor's choice.

Mickey Burke trains the winner for owners Joseph Jannuzzelli (also the breeder) and Carol Demarch.

Sail Away was a winner in 1:52.2, besting runner-up Makin' A Statement and driver Ron Pierce by three-quarters of a length, with Goddard's Art third for Brennan. The win was the first of the year in four attempts for the 4-year-old daughter of Real Artist. She had five wins and 10 seconds last year in 27 starts as she earned more than $91,000.

Richard Bilach trains Sail Away for owner Michael Talapa, who bred the mare in partnership with Chester Orzell.
