Brian Sears won his 6,000th career race Sunday at Harrah's Chester, with the milestone victory coming with Michael's Marvel in the 12th race. Sears, 39, needed three wins coming into the card, and Michael's Marvel completed the hat trick.

Sears's first win on the program came with Lis Mara, who set a Harrah's Chester all-age record with a 1:49 effort in a Ben Franklin elimination. Sears also scored a dead-heat victory with Shattered Halo in the Open Pace.

Sears set an all-time standard for the sport with $15,085,992 in purse earnings in 2005. This year he has 248 wins and $6,029,920 in purse earnings.
