With five wins on the New Year's Eve matinee program at the Meadowlands, Brian Sears captured the dash championship during the fall meet. His win binge brought him to 29, one more than David Milller and Ron Pierce.

Sears also added $44,660 to his purse-winning total in 2005, during which he drove the winners of $15,085,991, a North American single-year record.

Sears is the first driver to top $15 million and eclipsed the previous single-year record of $14,184,863, set by John Campbell in 2001.

Sears' five victories came with Biggerthebetter in the third race, Horby Hunter in the fifth, John Drew in the sixth, Jaccka Seelster N in the 10th, and South Park Hanover in the 12th race.
