Second leg for Valedictory

Turolas Shark and Brandon N scored victories in their respective $18,000 ( C ) divisions of the second leg of the Valedictory Pacing Series at Woodbine Saturday (Dec. 18) night.



Turolas Shark (Cam's Card Shark) went wire to wire in 1:52.3 for driver Mark Macdonald, holding off Royel Rookie and Kevin Austin by one-quarter of a length. It was the second straight win in the series for the Eric Beach-trained 3-year-old gelding, who is owned by Rick Howles.



Brandon N (Matt's Scooter) lowered his lifetime record by three seconds with a 1:53 triumph. Bario Ballagrgeon rallied the 3-year-old gelding from fifth in the lane to score by 1 1/2 lengths over C F O and Mike Saftic. Fred Hoffman trains and co-owns the winner with Joint Venture Stables and William Cripps.
