Four divisions of the Liberty Bell Late Closing series for trotters and two splits for the Phildelphia Late Closing series highlighted a foggy Monday card at Harrah’s Chester Casino and Racetrack. Tim Tetrick took three divisions of the Liberty Bell in his six-win day, with Seminole Spur fastest of them.

Seminole Spur ($10.40) closed steadily throughout the mile, kicking cover at the head of the stretch to win by three parts of a length in 1:55.1. The 6-year-old Lindy Lane gelding got away sixth at the quarter, behind leavers Opal Mine (Jim Meittinis), Meadowcroft Man (Eric Goodell), and Braggin’ Rights (Tony Morgan). Mon Beau Somolli N (Tom Jackson) cleared to the front just after a quarter of :27.4, and led the field into the bridge turn past a half of :57.2. Still second from last, Tetrick angled Seminole Spur into the outer flow within three lengths of the front at the half. “I was just following the favorites, and they were two good horses to follow,” said Tetrick. “[Seminole Spur] likes being covered up, and he races best off the pace.”

Braggin’ Rights, who pulled from fourth, cleared past five-eighths, leaving Seminole Spur a second-over trip behind LF Sharp Score (Cat Manzi). LF Sharp Score eventually cleared from Braggin’ Rights, leaving Seminole Spur first-over past three-quarters in 1:26.3. Through the stretch, Braggin’ Rights faded, and Seminole Spur continued to make up ground, overtaking LF Sharp Score midstretch and winning by three parts of a length.

“He’s a classy old trotter,” added Tetrick. “I just followed Cat’s horse (LF Sharp Score), and the trip worked out well.” Seminole Spur is co-owned by Jenni Numminen and trainer Ernest Adam.

Other division winners in the Liberty Bell included Master Pine (Tetrick, 1:55.4), Killer Whale (Manzi, 1:56.1), and The Federalist (Tetrick, 1:56.2).

Two divisions were contested of the Philadelphia Late Closer for pacers under starter conditions. Tetrick swept both divisions, driving Desmet (1:52.4) and Mr Romantic (1:53.4) to victory.(Harrah's Chester Downs)
