Seven Matron elims also on Dover's Sunday card

Southwind Lynx, a $1.3-million winner this season, leads one of two $35,000 Progress Pace eliminations Sunday at Dover Downs, with the card also featured three Matron filly and two colt trots, and two Matron Filly pace divisions.
 
Southwind Lynx (Tim Tetrick), the North American Cup and the Art Rooney winner, and Kenneth J (Ron Pierce), a career winner of $1.3 million, second in last week's rich Messenger Stake, lead a Progress Pace section. Other contenders are Carter Racing's Rusty's For Real (Tony Morgan), Bill Rufenacht and DM Stables' Artist's View (George Brennan), MJGB Racing's Digital Z Tam (Pat Lachance) and sharp Ontario colt Arts Mattjesty (Jody Jameson) owned by Stan Klemencic, Malcolm G Man Son and The Perfect Match Stables.

Nine start in the other Progress Pace elim with last year's Matron freshman winner, Kal Liebowitz and Marc Rubach's Artzina (John Campbell), from the rail while Deena Frost, Sampson Street and Fox Hollow Farm's Sutter Hanover (Tetrick) has post eight. Tony Chiarvalle's Running Book (Brennan), Z Tam Stable's Forensic Z Tam (Lachance) and Sandy Goldfarb and A Bunch Of Characters' May June Character (Pierce) and Bill Camp, Double Down Stable Mattdultery (David Miller) are among the challengers.

Pampered Princess (John Campbell), a $1.4-million winner heads a $25,000 Matron Filly Trot elim for owners Bob and David Anderson. Spice Queen (Tetrick) races for the Smiley brothers Norman and Gerald. Eight-time winner Lothlorien Equestrian's Vulcanize (Pierce) and Falls For You (Sears) are other contenders.

Rodney Mitchell and Teague Inc.'s Hambletonian Oaks winning Danae (Tetrick) leads another filly section. Nick Cimino's Gerri's Joy (Campbell) drew post one. The winningest filly in the race, L&L DeVisser's five-time winner Victoria Volo (Miller) and two-year-old Matron champ Lori Castranuovo's Undercover Lover (Morgan) gave been racing well.

A third filly trot has the Oldfords and North South Partners' Godiva Hall (Trond Smedshammer) from the rail meeting Diamond Creek Farm's Michelle's Angel (Jeff Gregory), and Carolyn Atherton's Oh Oh Its Magic (Tetrick).

Yonkers Trot winner Trillium Racing's Green Day (Cat Manzi) and Dexter Cup champ M&L of Delaware's Manfinity (Brennan) head one of the $36,725 Colt trot elims. Ed Mullinax and Jean Cloutier Up Front Larry (Tetrick) and Roy Davis' Primo Spur (Dick Stillings) are contenders.

A second $36,725 elim is led by Roy Dobbins' Prayer I Am (Campbell and L&L DeVisser's Great Success (Mike Lachance), Ted Gewertz, Sampson Street and American Viking Racing's Standpoint (Smedshammer), Ole Bach Niesen's Year In Review (Steve Smith), New Jersey Futurity winner, Ed Mullinax's Up Front Ben (Tim Tetrick) has the rail with Bob Burgess and Karen Burgess' Ogham (Campbell) alongside.

Isabella Blue Chip (Miller) racing for Only Money Inc., Rodney Mitchell and Teague Inc. is in one of the $29,031 Matron filly paces. Lady Maud champion Lloyd Arnold's Captiva Island (Morgan) drew the rail . Eleven-race winner Alan Wallace's Alexis Hall (Keith Oliver) and Tim Rooney's homebred Lislea Phia (Pierce) must be considered.

Hana Hanover (Brennan) heads another strong filly pace elim from post nine in second tier. Alongside is Takter, Fielding, Burroughs and 50-12 Stable Get A Cab (Miller). Other noteworthy distaffs are Adam Victor & Sons' Little Miss Dragon (Campbell), Dave Beachler and Annefuna Singleton's Tidewaterdragonfly (Jim Morand), last year's Matron winner Current Hanover (Pierce) and Rodney Mitchell's New Jersey standout Artcotic (Morand).
