August 08, 2006 Send To A Friend  | Print View

At surprising odds of 23-1, Lilsharkshooter won Monday night’s $53,400(C) Dream Maker Series final for 2-year-old pacers at Mohawk with a 1:54.1 effort for driver Luc Ouellette. Ouellette raced near the back of the field for much of the mile, and was still more than seven lengths behind at the three-quarter call.

The son of Cam’s Card Shark hit his best stride in the stretch as he rushed past the leaders and drew clear to a 3 ½-length win over Keystone Waylon (Mario Baillargeon). Western Warlord (Rick Zeron) was third.

Lilsharkshooter now has two wins and three thirds in five career starts for owner Lil Dude Ranch of British Columbia.
