It was like mother like daughter Wednesday afternoon in the $650,000 Jugette Wednesday afternoon at Delaware, Ohio, as Showherthemoney won the pacing classic for 3-year-old filly pacers, duplicating what her dam, Stienam's Place, did in 1997.

Showherthemoney, who made an early break in her elimination of the Jugette, earned driver Jim Morrill Jr. his first-ever win in the race. Morrill got away third in the decisive heat but moved his charge to the top at the opening :27.3 quarter, then led the rest of the route to defeat the Dave Palone-driven Ginger And Fred--who won the other elim--by one length in 1:53 over a "good" racetrack. Kiss Me Kate was third.

"She was amazing today," said trainer Tracy Brainard of the winning daughter of Cam's Card Shark who won for the eighth time in 14 starts this year--including a world record-equaling 1:49 win in the recent Nadia Lobell at The Red Mile--increasing her seasonal earnings to a shade under a half-million dollars and career total to $524,881 for owner Brittany Farms. She was bred by Green Mountain Farms and Kentuckiana Farms.

After the elim, Brainard said she made a minor equipment change. "We took the hobbles up a little bit to help her in the turns," she said.
