Sire Stakes at Hoosier

Ho Lotta Speed (1:54), Bluebird Ferrari (1:55) and Sensuous Girl (1:55.2) scored victories in their respective $12,000 divisions of the third leg of the Indiana Sire Stakes for three-year-old filly pacers at Hoosier Park Friday.

In the fastest split, Ho Lotta Speed and Joe Essig Jr.cruised to a 2-length victory over Peachy Yankee and Joshua Sutton, with Velvet Eileen and Willie Schwartz third. The mile is a career best for the daughter of Hi Ho Silverheel’s owned by Alton, Angela, Ryan and Debra Miller and trained by Dave White.

Bluebird Ferrari and Steve Pletcher rallied in the stretch to defeat Brooklets See Ya and Schwartz by one-quarter length, with Dream Wilson and Elliott Deaton third. The mile equaled the lifetime record by the Dream Work lass owned by the Dojea Stables and trained by Pletcher.

Neil Coleman had to swing Sensuous Girl wide for her rally in the lane, but she got up just in time at the wire for a nose victory over electric Showcase and Sutton. Electric Fly and Walter Haynes Jr. were third. The mile is a career best for the daughter of The Charmer owned by Carol Wilkin and trained by Larry King.
