It was another big day for Tim Tetrick on a rainy Tuesday, April 13 at Dover Downs. Tetrick, who broke the sport's all time one season dash win record at the track three season's back, drove six winners, including Shady Sabrina in the $30,000 Mares Open/Handicap pace. He also guided Alpine Gold N to victory in the $24,000 Mares Jr. Open. Shady Sabrina was nowhere in sight and hadn't gotten a recent call until Tetrick and the eight-year-old by Cam's Dignity-Mymymymysharona flashed up on the extreme outside in the final stride to fashion a 1:53.1 victory, her third in succession for Golden Hour Stables and KDK Standardbreds. It was her sixth win of the meet in 12 starts for the Dale Elliott trainee and lifts her seasonal earnings to $84,900. All Or None, driven by Corey Callahan, had edged the Ross Wolfenden-handled Apache Dame for second after a torrid head-to-head duel in the stretch. In the $24,000 sub-feature Tetrick piloted Alpine Gold N home in a decisive 1:53.2 for Bob Aerenson, Joe Cicatello and CTC Stable. The win was the second this year for the Mike Hall conditioned Life Sign -Double Rose six-year-old Lockes Of Love (Wolfenden) finished second with Its Cherry Ripe N (George Dennis) third. The Million Dollar Cam-Southview Selena four-year-old was followed by Teika Rose (Roger Plante) and Change Maker (Dennis) respectively. Hopeful N, driven by catch-driver Jim Morand, also came from far back to win the $14,500 Mares pace in 1:55.2. Preston Walls and Steve Daugherty own the Totally Ruthless-Maiden's Blush nine-year-old trained by Les Givens. Ball Gown A (Wolfenden) was runner-up.
