Slots play at The Meadows gives county $11.2 mil

Revenue from 2008 slots play at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino has generated about $11 million for the county where the track is located.
 
According to the Observer-Reporter newspaper, an aide for State Sen. J. Barry Stout said he had calculated the county's amount at $11.2 million. Originally, the county thought it was going to receive around $12 million.
 
Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board statistics show slots play at The Meadows totaled $2.98 billion in 2008.
