Two unusual occurrences caused the delay of the Tuesday night program at The Meadows. First a group of about 12 deer started racing down the backstretch and had to be herded into the infield before the first race could get underway. Then the first race was declared no contest when Home Bred Hero, driven by Dan Charlino, broke a line and caused chaos in the field.
