Snowhite Beach wins final

Snowhite Beach, who captured the final of the $44,800 Miss Vera Bars Series earlier this year, captured her second series final of the 2006 season at Woodbine Monday night with a 1:54.1 victory in the $48,200 Silver Reign Pacing Series final.

The 3-year-old daughter of Presidential Ball finished up the track in the opening leg of the series after making an early miscue, but she managed to rebound for a 1:55.2 score in last week's second leg.

The filly did most of the roadwork Monday night for driver Rick Zeron, who moved the Raz MacKenzie-trained lass to lead after the opening quarter of :28.1 then laid down the remaining splits of :57.4 and 1:26.2 en route to the victory. The homebred's final quarter of :27.4 helped her earn the 5 1/4-length score over Wendy Semalu and Taylorlane Crystal.

The Marmatt Farms, Suzanne Nault and Gerry White, hold the papers on Snowhite Beach, who will get a bit of time off before heading to the Ontario Sired Spring Series at Woodbine in early May.

Snowhite Beach's win improved her 2006 record to six wins in eight starts and the lion's share of the purse gives her a career bankroll of $86,782. (Standardbred Canada)
