Two-year-old fillies--pacing and trotting--squared off in eliminations for the Merrie Annabelle and Sweetheart Thursday night at the Meadowlands, and the star of the action was most certainly the trotting filly Snow White, who romped home a 6 3/4-length winner in 1:56.4.
Snow White, a filly by Self Possessed trained by Kevin Lare, is now undefeated in four career starts. She took her lifetime best the previous week in winning the $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes championship.
North State Street Stable and Harness The Power Stable and are rumored to have been offered $1 million for the filly, but Lare says they won't sell.

The second of the two Merrie Annabelle elims went to Pinery, who edged Winbak Brat by a neck in 1:58. Winbak Brat and Pinery battled through the homestretch, with neither filly giving in, although Pinery put her nose on the wire first.
Pinery, a filly by Angus Hall, is trained by Jimmy Takter and owned by Takter's wife, Christine, and John Fielding and R. Ferguson.
The first five finishers advance to the Merrie Annabelle final.
