Snow White romps in stakes record 1:55.1

Snow White romped to a stakes record 1:55.1 victory in the $650,000 Breeders Crown 2-year-old filly trot, which put her over the $1-million mark for the year and elevated her driver, John Campbell, over the $250 million mark in the career earnings.

Leaving from post five Campbell eased Snow White into the lead around the first turn, taking control of the field at the :28 opening quarter. From there it was an unchallenged trip as the daughter of Self Possessed strolled to a :57.1 half, and by the 1:26.4 third quarter she began opening up her lead. Campbell sat quietly in the bike as Snow White turned the race into a romp down the lane. Finishing a distant second was Somebody To Love and David Miller  while Its My Time was third for Ron Pierce.

The victory was the 11^th in 13 starts this year for the Kevin Laire lass and increased  her earnings to $1,252,646 for owners North Street Stable and Harness The Power.

“She’s the best 2 year old I’ve driven, male or female,” said Campbell in the winner’s circle. The victory was his 42^nd in the Breeders Crown.
