Snow White, the 2007 Two-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year, will make her first qualifier appearance on Thursday morning at the Meadowlands, according to trainer Kevin Lare. Snow White became the fastest (1:52.4) and richest ($1,252,646) freshman filly trotter in history, punctuating her 11-for-13 season with a Breeders Crown trophy. The daughter of Self Possessed underwent tie-back surgery, which can correct breathing difficulties, at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center in March. "All systems are go,” Lare said. “I trained her Saturday (June 7) and she went fine, no noises. She loves to trot home. She's feeling good. The plan right now is to qualify at the Meadowlands each of the next two weeks, then race Historic Week (in the Coaching Club Oaks on June 27). From there, it'll be the Del Miller eliminations and hopefully the final, and either the Hambletonian or the Hambletonian Oaks. She'll tell me which one." (Meadowlands)
