Johnny Waite and Wade and Kathleen Wyatt's Solano ($3.80, Corey Callahan) timed his charge perfectly to win Monday's $20,000 Open at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old No Pan Intended stallion settled last early in the short field of five, before pulling second-over and grinding his way to the top in the final strides over pacesetting Art Gram. Print It finished third. It was the seventh win of the year for Solano, whose now banked more than $104,000 in 2010 for co-owner/trainer Waite.
It was one of four driving winners for Callahan. Meanwhile, Victor Kirby and Ross Wolfenden each had driving triples. (Harrington)
