Somebeachsomewhere trained at the Meadowlands Monday morning, and trainer Brent MacGrath was pleased with the colt’s effort. “He trained super,” MacGrath said. “I went a mile in two minutes and a bit. He was strong. He came home in :27 and a piece. He was steering good, pacing good. He seems sharp and ready to go." Somebeachsomewhere will start from post three in Saturday’s Breeders Crown 3-Year-Old Pacing Colt championship at the Meadowlands. It will be the final start of the colt’s career. “What else can you ask for?,” added MacGrath when asked about the workout. “I’ll just jog him lightly, walk him, and try to keep him happy the rest of the week. We’re looking forward to his new career, too. I think he will be a tremendous sire. I think he’ll be as strong in the breeding shed as he was on the racetrack."
