The duo of Bogo's Dream and driver Brad Hanners finished strong down the stretch to win the $14,000 final of the Miss Windfall Thursday at Hoosier Park in 1:54.2. Right out of the gate, Gorgeous Forever and Don Eash took control of the lead with Dark Traveler, driven by Jason Dillander, and Skyway Happy, controlled by Brandon Bates right behind. Reaching the quarter-mile mark in a time of :27.3, Dark Traveler took a slim lead over Gorgeous Forever, with Topville Courteous, commanded by Trace Tetrick, rounding out the top three. At the halfway mark in a time of :56.2, Dark Traveler and Gorgeous Forever were still competing for sole possession of first. Bluebird Corvette, controlled by Jay Cross, sat in third. Nearing three quarter-mile mark in a time of 1:26, Dark Traveler and Gorgeous Forever contended for first with Bogo’s Dream making a move on the outside. Coming down the stretch, Bogo’s Dream was able to hold off her competitors to earn the victory by 1 1/4 lengths. Bluebird Corvette and Dark Traveler finish second and third, respectively. Finishing with a time of 1:54.2, the 3-year-old Bogo’s Dream beat her personal record by four seconds. Owned by Nickells Stable LLC and William R. Huggins, Bogo’s Dream has earned over $10,000 in her lifetime. Huggins is also the breeder on the filly. Bogo’s Dream was unraced as a 2 year old. The Indiana-bred daughter of Dream Work now has two wins in three career starts this year for trainer Brooke Nickells.
