Spare Time Rozie equals Canadian record

Spare Time Rozie equaled the Canadian record for older trotting mares Sunday night at Mohawk Raceway, winning in 1:52.1 for trainer-driver Rick Zeron.
 
Zeron moved Spare Time Rozie to the lead at the half and then cruised home to win by 6 1/ 4 lengths over Railroad Ron. The win was her third straight and the time equaled Peaceful Way's Mohawk and Canadian record set in 2005 in the Armbro Flight final.
 
A 4-year-old daughter of Earl, Spare Time Rozie is owned by John Cowan and Darryl Laver.
